The Creative Learning Method is an European project funded by the Comunitary Program Leonardo da Vinci (2000-2006). The goal is to plan and validate a new training method denominated Creative Learning Method (CLM) intended for primary school teachers, to facilitate and enhance their learning of new teaching strategies and to encourage the construction of training paths that are not only schemes to be filled, but processes to create. Where creativity is not so much a product to achieve but a style and a learning and teaching method on which knowledge and interpersonal relationships should be founded. The new training method is based on the use of active and involving strategies, that are capable of “sparking off” the interest of people and motivating them to intentional learning that brings the beneficiaries to a greater awareness and motivation to learning with the objective of favoring the explosion of the entire cognitive, practical and relational potential, they are endowed with. Overcoming classic dichotomy between theory and practice the CLM makes use of group power conveying interpersonal relations and dynamics that further favor the involvement, the responsabilization and the “protagonism” of people that the present training and school paths do not fully succeed in appreciating in the daily teaching procedure. The originality of the CLM consists in systematize the use of several disciplines in the regular procedure, such as experimental pedagogy, didactics, psychology, etc., that are usually learnt in sectors and are not very interdisciplinary, in the attempt not to separate intellectual culture from emotive culture. The validation of the method should verify that it can be extended on wide scale and in further contexts at training and educational levels. |
